Family Spotlight:
Kris and BJ
Kris Wilhelm and BJ Taylor of Laurel have been together since November 1997 when they met while both were attending West Virginia University. BJ is a Managing Editor for Atlantic Information Services, Inc., a health care publishing company in Washington, D.C., and Kris works as a Financial Analyst for Computer Sciences Corp. in Annapolis Junction, MD. They both are members of Oaklands Presbyterian, a very GLBT friendly church in Laurel. Along with their dog Jasper, BJ and Kris live in the Russett community in Western Anne Arundel County, where BJ has served as the Vice President of the 13,000-resident community for more than 3 years. They both are very active in their local community as well as various GLBT organizations. “Kris and I both love Maryland and everything it has to offer,” says BJ, “but we can not wait until the day that we can legally marry. That day will be the day we are no longer second-class citizens in the ‘Free State.’"
