Maryland's Anti-Abuse Law
Sexual Orientation
Maryland law requires that county school boards report incidents of harassment and intimidation against students that are motivated by "actual or a perceived... sexual orientation." Maryland regulations state that public school students, regardless of sexual orientation, have the right to educational environments that are safe and free from harassment. MD. CODE ANN.
