Community Leaders Host Forum on Ending Marriage Discrimination for LGBT Families
Silver Spring – Latina/o lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals and families, together with elected officials and community leaders will gather for an April 28th forum at the Langley Community Center to discuss discrimination, civil rights and marriage equality. The forum provides a rare opportunity for LGBT Latina/o families to publicly discuss the challenges to equality they face in Maryland and within the Latina/o community.
The forum is hosted by Equality Maryland, The National Latina/o Coalition for Justice, Freedom to Marry, Pride at Work, The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), and Lambda Legal.
